Giff's Original Jalapeño Pepper Relish Recipes
Jalapeño Pepper Sausage Breadlb. sweet Italian sausage, casings removed
1 1/4 cups shredded mild cheddar cheese
1/2 cup Giff's Original Jalapeño Pepper Relish
Mayonnaise
1 loaf (about 16 oz.) frozen bread dough thawed
1 tablespoon butter, melted
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat oven to 350°
- In a medium skillet, crumble and cook sausage until browned.
Drain on paper towels. - In a bowl, mix together sausage, cheese and Giff's Original Jalapeño Pepper Relish
and just enough mayonnaise to hold mixture together (about a spoonful). - On a floured surface, roll dough to form a 10"x15" rectangle.
Place on a large greased baking sheet. - Spread very thin layer of mayonnaise on the dough surface. Spread sausage mixture on the dough leaving 1/2" border
- Starting with long side, roll (as for jelly roll).
Place, seam side down, on the baking sheet. - Brush with butter. Bake 40 minutes or until browned. Let rest 10-15 minutes. Cut into 1/2" slices. Serve warm or at room temperature.
